The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Wednesday's Best NCAAB Bet

DePaul Blue Demons at St. John’s Red Storm (-15)

We can all agree that DePaul is very, very bad. But you also have to note that the team is playing much, much better.

The Blue Demons are just 7-19 SU this year, but a solid 14-11 ATS this season. Over the team’s past five games it has gone 5-0 ATS as a double-digit dog in each game. But more impressive, the Blue Demons won once outright at Providence over that stretch and suffered just one defeat by more than four points.

DePaul is playing its best hoops of the season thanks to the play of junior guard Jeremiah Kelly and freshman Moses Morgan. Kelly averages just 7.3 points per game, but has dropped a combined 48 the past two, including adding six assists and eight rebounds. Morgan is averaging just 3.8 points and 1.6 rebounds per game this year, but over his past six is putting up 8.8 points and 2.2 boards a night.

“We’re becoming a more dangerous team each and every day,” DePaul coach Oliver Purnell told reporters. “I told the guys, to me it’s clear that if we play better, we can play with anyone in our league. I still don’t think we’ve played our best.”

St. John’s, meantime, has pulled off a boatload of upsets this season, but is just 4-7 ATS as a favorite this season.

Pick: DePaul

Pick 'n' roll:

Wednesday's Best NBA Bet

Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs (-7, 206)

The Spurs love to feast on…winning teams. San Antonio is a staggering 18-8 SU and 17-8-1 ATS against teams with winning records. However, the team is a mere 0-6 ATS as a favorite of 11 or more points.

"We're getting better at it," San Antonio coach Greg Popovich said. "Miami, Boston and L.A. are all playing better defense on a consistent basis than we are. And if we want to be the last team standing, we've got to continue to … get better."

And against the Thunder – who actually are mere percentage points behind the Lakers for the third seed in the West – San Antonio easily won both meetings this season by playing great defense.

Combined, the Thunder shot a total of just 39 percent from the floor in those games and a wretched 20 percent from beyond the arc. Oklahoma City also snagged 11 fewer total rebounds in those games.

"It was just one of those games that was sloppy," Thunder forward Kevin Durant said of the team’s most recent meeting, a 101-74 beatdown in Texas. "Everything we did -- fumbling passes and not finishing layups; missing opportunities on the defensive end to help the team in transition to get easy baskets."

In the past two road games, the Thunder have failed to crack the century mark in points scored – don’t expect them to buck that trend against the Spurs.

Pick: San Antonio

Wednesday's Best NHL Bets

Los Angeles Kings at Anaheim Ducks (+110, 5.5)

The Kings might have a pop gun offense, but it really hasn’t mattered the past three games for Ducks opponents.

Anaheim has been horrid since All-Star goalie Jonas Hiller was placed on IR with fatigue on Feb. 13 following a 4-0 win over Edmonton. Since then, the team has dropped three straight games, surrendering at least five goals each time out and coughing up a combined 21 scores in those contests.

Needless to say, backup Curtis McElhinney is battling for his spot between the pipes, whick makes sense - it seems like a trashcan could do a better job at this point.

"I think Curtis has earned the opportunity to try to get back on track,” Anaheim GM Bob Murray said. “We’ll give Ray Emery a little while longer (in the AHL). He said he felt better Saturday than Friday, which is a very encouraging thing. He said he saw the puck better.”

On the other bench, the Kings have slowly begun to put together some better offensive efforts. Los Angeles is 6-4 in its past 10 games, averaging nearly 3.2 goals per game in those victories.

"We've just got to keep going,” Kings captain Dustin Brown said at the conclusion of the team’s recent road trip. “We get home, we get some rest and we get ready for Anaheim."

And the Kings will be ready.

Pick: Los Angeles

Atlanta Thrashers at Buffalo Sabres (-165, 5.5)

The Sabres are going to have to keep shaking things up if they are going to find a way to score goals. Buffalo has dropped three straight thanks to a suspect offense that has found the back of the net only twice during that span.

And Washington, St. Louis and Toronto aren’t exactly defensive pillars either.

"It was better than the last two losses, but it's still zero points," left wing Thomas Vanek said of the team’s most recent game, a 2-1 loss to the Capitals. "These last three games weren't good for any of us. We put ourselves in good position here, but we can't let it slip away."

Keep a close eye on the team’s roster before faceoff. There were 23 scouts in Buffalo for the team’s game against Washington as forward Tim Connolly (eight goals, 26 points) continues to appear on many contenders wish lists because of his experience and upside.

Atlanta enters the game having just one win in its past five games, but has had little trouble scoring. The team is averaging three goals per game over that span and has outshot the opposition in each of those contests.

“We need to be a team that’s known for its discipline,” Atlanta coach Craig Ramsay said. “We can’t afford to take penalties. Some can be beyond your control if you are saving a goal, but we can’t afford to take penalties. We want to play with discipline, physically, contact, separate people from the puck but can’t afford to take penalties.”

Look for the Thrashers to play with that discipline against the Sabres.

Pick: Atlanta
